How I Created a PDF Form with ChatGPT
Ever needed a clean, professional-looking form but didn’t know where to start? That was me just a few minutes ago — until I asked ChatGPT to help me create one. In this issue, I’ll show you exactly how I used AI to design a custom PDF newsletter signup sheet, step by step!
🧠 Step 1: Tell ChatGPT What You Want
I started by giving ChatGPT a simple request:
“I need a PDF form titled ‘AI Made EZ Newsletter Signup Sheet’ with three columns: First Name, Last Name, and Email.”
Within seconds, ChatGPT created a professional-looking PDF form and gave me a download link. No special software, no templates — just results.
🖼 Step 2: Add a Logo
Next, I uploaded a logo image I wanted at the top of the form. I asked ChatGPT to add it in different ways:
Full-width at the top
Centered and smaller
Top-left corner
Even both left and right corners!
Each time, ChatGPT generated a new downloadable PDF for me, exactly how I asked.
✍️ Step 3: Customize the Layout
Finally, I fine-tuned the form:
Moved the table down below the logo
Added a title next to the logo
Balanced the design with logos on both sides
All I had to do was describe the changes in plain language. ChatGPT handled the coding behind the scenes using Python and PDF tools like fpdf
.
